If you are looking to functionally or aesthetically restore your beautiful smile, a bridge may be a great option for you if you are missing a tooth or teeth.

What is a bridge?

A bridge literally bridges the gap between a missing tooth or teeth, and is sometimes referred to as a partial fixed denture.  An artificial tooth is made for the gap, and crowns are made for the teeth on both sides of the tooth to provide structure and stability.

Why get a bridge?

It is a concern to have a missing tooth, as the surrounding teeth will many times shift inward to fill the gap, thus changing your bite.  This can cause problems with speaking, chewing, the alignment of your teeth, and can distort the shape of your face in extreme cases.

What materials are used to make the bridge?

Dr. Paul may use ceramic material, metal alloy-bonded porcelain, or gold alloys.
